(This should've posted back in 2013...not sure what happened, so I'm posting now)

Dear Natalie and Sophia,

Turns out I'm not very good at keeping up with this blogging thing, so this one post will just have to cover all the things I love to do with you two in the fall.

First of all, I love fall. I do not like that it means that summer is coming to an end though.  A part of me died a little when dad said it was time to winterize the boat. Thank goodness fall has so many fun activities to offer!

Like apple picking:

The Zoo:
The weather was absolutely perfect the day we decided to go to the zoo and Grants Farm. We even put the cars top down on the way there.

Grant's Farm:

Every year for Halloween Grant's Farm decorates the park and has a big Halloween party. There's talking pumpkins, a haunted tram ride, a DJ and lots of dancing. You both even got to dance with Frankenstein!

Big Joel's Safari:

And Pumpkins Galore:

Then Halloween:

I LOVE Halloween. Love it. Natalie, you were a Zombie and you were amazing at it. I made your costume and all your make up out of things we already had in the house. First I made blood out of food coloring, sugar and water. The missing flesh was made with glue, toilet paper and food coloring. Then I used markers and hand sanitizer to to "bruise up" your face. A few splashes of fake blood and some dirt all over the shirt and that creepy baby doll and you were good to go! You shuffled around the neighborhood in true zombie fashion. When people asked about the doll you told them it was your dinner.

Sophie, you were the prettiest little witch everyone had seen. In fact, some people thought you were a princess!

We had mummy dogs for dinner (hot dogs cut into people shapes and wrapped in crescent rolls.

And some bloody drinks with skull ice cubes.

Dad set up the fire pit table in the driveway and handed out candy with Great Granny and Grandma Gloria while we went Trick-or-Treating with Grandma Sue, Kyle, Kaleb, Jeromie and Katie.
