Yesterday, we made granola bars. They turned out fantastic! Here's how we did it, just in case you want to make these when you're older.
First, I turned the oven to 350° and got everything ready
2 Tbsp oil
3 1/2 cups of old fashioned oats
1/3 cup honey
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 egg
hand full of coconut
dash of salt
Natalie cracked the egg in the bowl, then Sophie added the coconut and brown sugar.
Then Natalie added the peanut butter and the honey.
and started mixing
Sophie got to mix a little too.
Then we poured in the oats,
and stirred it all up.
Then we poured it into a 9x13 baking dish, coated with cooking spray, and put it into the oven for 15 minutes.
Cut them into bars, and they're ready to eat!
You could add all kinds of things to these bars. Nuts, chocolate chips, or raisins maybe?
Love always,
Worlds Okayest Mom
